Omron PLC programming in Kenya: CP1E, CP1H, CP2E, CJ2 and NX1P

Omron PLC programming by on-site engineers in Kenya and across Africa: CP1E, CP1H, CP2E, CJ2 and NX1P. CX-Programmer (CX-One), fault finding, upgrades and full documentation.

Omron PLCs are common on packaging, food and assembly machines. We program and troubleshoot Omron CP and CJ PLCs in CX-Programmer, and Sysmac NJ/NX controllers in Sysmac Studio.

Omron PLCs we work on

  • CP1E, CP1H and CP2E: compact PLCs for machines
  • CJ2: modular PLCs
  • NX1P2, NJ and NX: Sysmac machine controllers with EtherCAT

Software: CX-Programmer (CX-One), Sysmac Studio. Networks: EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Host Link, Modbus RTU.

Omron PLC services

  • Program changes and fault finding on packaging and food machines
  • Replacing older CPM and CP1 controllers
  • Sysmac Studio projects with EtherCAT drives and I/O
  • Data links to SCADA over EtherNet/IP

Signs your PLC system needs attention

  • The machine stops with faults nobody can explain, or the only person who understood the program has left
  • There is no current backup of the program, or the backup does not match what is running
  • Spare CPUs and I/O cards are discontinued, expensive or months away
  • Operators work around the sequence by hand because the logic no longer matches the process
  • You want production data, remote access or new functions that the old program cannot provide

How we approach a PLC job

  1. Upload and back up the running program and hardware configuration before any change.
  2. Document the I/O and the sequence with your operators, so everyone agrees what the machine must do.
  3. Write or modify the logic offline, structured and commented, and test it with simulation where possible.
  4. Commission on site: test every input, output, interlock and alarm, then run under real production load.
  5. Hand over the final program, I/O list and drawings, and train your technicians on fault finding.

Tips from our engineers

CX-Programmer or Sysmac Studio?

CP and CJ PLCs use CX-Programmer; NJ and NX controllers use Sysmac Studio. Having both installed avoids delays.

Comment the program

Omron programs on older machines often have no comments. Adding them during the first visit makes every later change faster.
