Mitsubishi Electric HMI programming in Kenya: GOT2000 and GOT SIMPLE with GT Designer3

Mitsubishi Electric HMI programming by on-site engineers in Kenya and across Africa: GOT2000 and GOT SIMPLE with GT Designer3. GT Designer3, fault finding, upgrades and full documentation.

Mitsubishi GOT terminals are standard on many imported machines. We edit and create GOT projects, add languages and alarms, and replace failed GOT1000 units with GOT2000.

Mitsubishi Electric HMIs we work on

  • GOT2000: graphic operation terminals
  • GOT SIMPLE: compact terminals for small machines
  • GOT1000: older terminals we maintain and replace

Software: GT Designer3. Networks: Direct connection to MELSEC PLCs, Ethernet, and drivers for many other PLC brands.

Mitsubishi Electric HMI services

  • Uploading GOT projects from the terminal and backing them up
  • New screens, alarms, recipes and language changes
  • GOT1000 to GOT2000 replacement
  • Connecting GOT terminals to non-Mitsubishi PLCs

What a good HMI screen should do

  • Show the state of the machine at a glance, with clear colours for running, stopped and faulted
  • Explain alarms in plain language, with the cause and what the operator should check
  • Keep recipes, setpoints and counters in one place, protected by user levels
  • Trend key values such as temperature, pressure, speed and energy
  • Work in the language your operators use every day

How we approach an HMI project

  1. Back up the existing HMI project and note the panel model and firmware.
  2. Agree the screens with operators and supervisors: overview, detail, alarms, recipes and trends.
  3. Build and test the project against the PLC tags, with simulation before going to site.
  4. Install and commission on the machine, checking every button, value and alarm.
  5. Hand over the project file, user passwords and a short operator guide.

Tips from our engineers

Upload before you change anything

GOT terminals can hold the project for upload. Saving it first means the original screens can always be restored.

Add the operator's language

Many imported machines arrive with screens in another language. GT Designer3 supports multiple languages switchable on the terminal.

Frequently asked questions

Can you change the language on a Mitsubishi GOT screen?

Yes. We add English or other languages to GOT projects in GT Designer3.
